From September 2013, the Centre for Social Development (CSD) at Rhodes University began a 24-month education & training programme with 20 Early Childhood Development (ECD) practitioners from local ECD centres. This will ensure a minimum level qualification for most practitioners in our local ECD centres.

Since 2002, we have organised 6 Annual Ntaba kaNdoda Heritage Festivals. These are well-supported community events held over the Heritage Day weekend. Festival activities normally include a visit to the grave of Maqoma (Aaah Jongumsobomvu!) at the Ntaba kaNdoda site, choirs, poetry, marimba, book readings, indigenous
